The Dark Knight Rises Premiere in Rawalpindi on Eid

The wait is almost over. It took director Christopher Nolan four years and it is finally out. The sequel for the ever so dramatic The Dark Knight released last month and came to the big screens steadily all over Pakistan and tomorrow, on the first day of Eid, is going to be no different as the final Bat flick will premiere in Rawalpindi in various cinemas such as Cinepax, The Arena etc.

The film is set eight years after the events of the previous film. Gotham City is in a state of piece due to powers granted by Dent Act and billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne utilized the time to focus more on his company, Wayne Enterprises. The city becomes a victim of disaster once again when terrorist Bane, alongside an accomplice calling herself Catwoman, plans to destroy the city.

The devastating circumstances call for Bruce Wayne to once again take on the mantle of the caped crusader to embark on the journey to save the city from peril. Other villains featured in the movie are Dr Jonathan Crane aka The Scarecrow and Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul from Batman Begins. The popularity of Batman is indeed immense in Pakistan and it won’t be a surprise seeing the cinemas sold out when The Dark Knight Rises premiers in Rawalpindi.
