Earlier, we reported that Bilal Lashari won’t be directing the sequal of Waar, the biggest Pakistani blockbuster movie. The report was proven right and now it has been revvealed that Waar’s producer Hassan Waqas Rana has himself taken over the director’s seat and shot some of the scenes of Waar 2 at the base camp of K2 mountain, reported Express Tribune. Rana will also be doing the DOP of the Waar 2, the report revealed.
Talking about his 20 days expereince of shooting at K2, Rana told the newspaper, “The shoot itself lasted around four days while the remaining days were accounted by travel.”
Talking about his role as DOP of the movie, Rana told the newspaper, “Having already served as DP for Yalghaar, I had gathered enough experience so I decided to film the scenes myself.”
Rana disclosed that some of the shootss of Waar 2 will be filmed in London and said that he will offer the director’s seat to someone else for aerial and underwater scenes. “I might shoot the ground sequences, but someone else will shoot the aerial and underwater scenes, as filming such parts is a completely different skill altogether,” said Rana.
“The film will be shot in UK, Russia, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Canada and US,” Rana disclosed in a report earlier this year.
The huge success of Waar earned good money to the filmmakers, which ended up in a financial disputes between Bilal Lashari and Hassan Waqas Rana. Now, Rana has decided to produce and direct the movie himself. Reports are also suggesting that he has done the script as well.
Waar 2 trailer is expected to release at the end of this year with another thriller movie Yalghaar by Hassan Waqas Rana.
