Karachi (PR): For some Bollywood movies that boast of the name ‘Khan’, it’s a win-win situation for attracting crowds. And for crowds, certain some cinemas hold more than just entertainment value, with a hoard of sentimental value attached to their general facade.
Capri, one of Karachi’s oldest and leading cinemas is all set to reopen with Salman Khan’s Dabangg-2, on December 21st. The cinema was torched by angry mob exactly three months ago on 21st September, but true to its commitment of providing entertainment to the masses, the owners have spent millions to raise it from the ashes, once again.
It is interesting that the cinema’s reopening is scheduled with a sure blockbuster like Salman Khan Dabang-2, a sequel of the first Dabangg movie, which introduced masses to the incorrigible Chulbul Pandey.
Dabangg 2 is a complete package filled with Bollywood style masala, directed, written and produced by Arbaaz Khan. With Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, Prakash Raj plays the role of main antagonist. The cast also includes Vinod Khanna, Deepak Dobriyal and Nikitan Dheer in supporting roles. It is a sequel to the 2010 film Dabangg and is set in the city of Kanpur.
