“Khiladi 786”, starring Bollywood‘s heart throb Akshay Kumar and Asin Thottumkal, whose Ads were banned by Pakistani censor Board a few days back, will now be screened as simple “Khiladi” in Pakistan, as per instructed by the Censor Board. Yes you heard that right, The full board of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the film “Khiladi 786 for screening, with a few edits.

Amjad Rasheed, of IMGC Global Entertainment,”We knew that there would not be any issue in having the film passed, There were a few edits, but otherwise the film really had no issues”.” As we all know, the censor board is bureaucratic in nature,” said Rasheed. “I don’t see anything objectionable and hopefully it should pass,” He added

Like the 2 other biggest Bollywood releases in 2012, which included Saif Ali Khan’s “Agent Vinod” and “Ek Tha Tiger”starring Salman Khan, Khiladi 786 was expected to be banned by Pakistani censor Board. Thinking that the word 786 in the title of the movie might be revolting for Muslim fans, Eros International has agreed to release the movie with a different title in the country. The movie will be Akshay Kumar’s last offering for the year 2012.

The Vice Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Rai Akbar said,”We had said that the trailer of the film should not be screened, Advertisement can take place under the name of Khiladi, as the number 786 has a religious connotation.”
