It was the year 1986 when two rookies filled with passion for music and a common aim of making it big in the music field got together and formed a band called Vital SIgns that revolutionized the very face of the music industry of Pakistan. Those guys are none other than Junaid Jamshed and Salman Ahmad. Due to creative differences, the latter left the band and had a tremendous success in his own right as well. After 26 long years, the unlikely duo finally joined forces again.

The 2012 Islamic Society of North America Convention in Washington, DC marked the reunion of the two legends and sang the songs ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and ‘Jazba Junoon’. The songs are well recognized by any “just another Pakistani” on the street and are occasionally played in national festivities.

Junaid Jamshed, who left his music career in order to spiritually follow Islam back in 2004, could not happier to perform live on stage once again; specially when he was singing the very song that pretty much ‘made’ him. On a further note, sharing the stage with the legends were Abdul Malik Ahmad and also Joshua Salaam of Native Deen.
