‘Khizaan’ by Yasir Jaswal [REVIEW]

Finally a rookie, who is wise enough to understand that multiple choruses are not going to get the job done if you want to make it big in the music industry. A new name has entered in the hectic world of the Pakistani music industry and his name is Yasir Jaswal. For a rookie, his song ‘Khizaan’ is not that bad to say the least.

The song takes a start with simple but captivating guitaring, catchy beats and then comes the vocalist to take the song to the next level. The voice is unique in the sense that it is heavy but surprisingly soothing at the same time. The element of tabla being played in the background is also good considering the fact that most of the artists do not rely on it during their careers, especially initially. The only fault in the song is that the voice has no ups and downs as it remains constant throughout but it is overcome by the heart-grasping lyrics of the song.

The song is recorded at SnM Studio in Islamabad and produced by none other than Sarmad Ghafoor and Yasir himself. With this song just a preview of the capabilities the young blood has, only time can tell what more Yasir Jaswal has to offer.
