If there is a Bollywood film this year who’s curiosity never ends then it is definitely ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The film made quite an impact when its promo was released as it quickly earned the right to be known as the most awaited movie of 2012. However, the film’s promo was banned by PEMRA (Pakistani Electronic Media Regulatory) as it had issued a letter to the local satellite channels to make sure that it does not air due to the speculation that it aims to destroy the image of Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-service Intelligence).

However, that is not the case anymore as the Censor Board of Pakistan has dispelled such rumors and accusations and made it clear that the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is indeed not banned in the country. “The film will be censored when it is released so we have not taken any decision to ban it,” said Muhammad Ashraf Gondal, the vice chairman of the Pakistani censor board.

Despite the speculation, the film is not about destroying the reputation of the ISI. In fact, it is a romantic action thriller that shows an Indian secret agent who determines to find a scientist who has been illegally selling missile technology to Pakistani intelligence. The film stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and is set to release on August 15.
