Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the Pakistani lady who won an Oscar has now listed in TIME’s “100 most influential people in the world”. The lady is known for her documentary “Saving Face” which made the world know that the acid-violence problem still exists in Pakistan and showed ways to cut off this serious concern from other troubles of Pakistan.
Not only this, but Saving face depicted Pakistan that is changing as years are passing by. Even our female parliamentarians showed some concern and imposed some laws against these kind of awful acid-related actions. No doubt, the lady brought a favor to the victims of this crime and became a voice of those ladies, who lost their beauty, but we know that their actual beauty and strength lies in their heart.
Another great thing, which you people haven’t noticed is that Angelina Jolie – the Hollywood Actress wrote this post herself in which she praised the efforts of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
We congratulate Sharmeen on this great achievement and we pray that may Allah give her more chances to take the pride of this country to a new level.
